• Disc: The EMA disc is made from a proprietary thermoplastic polymer that delivers superior impact strength to acrylic at a lower cost than polycarbonate. The discs come in two diameters (120mm and 125mm) and two thicknesses (2.0mm and 2.5mm).
• Button: The patented design securely anchors the elastic straps,but still makes it easy for the dental professional or patient to attach or remove a strap.
• Bite pad: The bite pads are placed bilaterally on the occlusal surface of the mandibular tray in the molar region.They are designed to open the bite sufficiently to allow clearance of the upper and lower incisors during mandibular advancement.
• Elastic strap: The amount of mandibular advancement is adjusted by varying the length and elasticity of the straps connecting the upper and lower trays. The ema elastic straps are available in four different elastic strengths and five different lengths.
